This week, we were required to find 20 panels and submit the recorded focus group study video and tabulate the data based on the opinions given from the panels during focus group discussion. Fortunately, we were able to search for 20 panels and obtain reliable data from them. IT IS NOT EASY AS IT SEEMS, it does not only require good communication skills, it also requires you to be calm and steady at all times.

The challenges I faced was to find a proper classroom for the focus group study and finding panels to join our focus group study. Some of our focus group discussion session was halted halfway due to the lecturer having class at the certain times, we have to apologize to the lecturer and the panels and find a new classroom again. Finding panels was not an easy task as well as you need to persuade them to join the focus group interview. This problem was solved by giving some appreciation gifts as a gratitude and compensation of their time for joining the focus group discussion.

I am in-charge of the questionnaire and ask the symbolic study part and the purchasing behaviors part. I found out that most of the panels have similar opinions yet some gave an interesting comment about it. I have improved my lifelong learning skills as i am able to extract and locate the important information that benefits in our idealization for our dumpling products. Besides that, i am able to improve my communication skills as i am able to communicate with the panels and point out the question clearly for them to have an betetr understanding regarding to dumplings product.
