~~4th week of semester~~





In the 4th week of semester, we are required to conduct a mock focus group study within our own batch BS2, the purpose of conducting this focus group study is to further analyse the preference and also to further understanding the mindset of consumers towards dumpling. This will aid in our process in idealization as generating new ideas is based on the consumer preference and their expectations.

Hmmm..... Something's isn't right

Focus group study is a method for consumer study. Focus group study requires a group of people A.K.A panels to gather together and we will conduct focus group study by asking them questionnaire we prepared to further understand the consumer mind about dumpling. Each panels were given the freedom of speech and the freedom to discuss among other panels and voice out their opinions individually. Each of panels opinions will be recorded and analysed.




We are required to find 20 panels for our focus group study including staffs and students as well. Each focus group study requires minimum 30 minutes to conduct and we decided to use video and voice recorder to keep track on what panels said during the focus group discussion. We finalize our questionnaire and get familiarize with the method and the procedure of conducting the focus group discussion. I have improve my communication skills as i am able to construct my sentence when communicating with my group batch to gain better understanding towards the task given. I also learnt to improve my interpersonal skills as I am able to analyzed the problem and lead the team to solve it together.
